Projects

Scarsdale Homes, Inc. was a housing developer in the north and northwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. The work of the office would begin with the land planning for each new estate. This involved setting out the roads and determining the number and areas of properties, whilst assuring that the builder achieved the numbers he needed to realise a profit.

Typically, new model homes with several optional facades were then designed for each new development. These homes were considered semi-custom, since the standard designs could then be modified as the homebuyer desired.

Since this was early in my career, my involvement with these projects was primarily the drafting of house designs for these estates, as well as developing the complex site plans of the new estates in which I was involved.
